The Spanish Present Tense
The Spanish present tense is used in Spanish to show that something is currently happening.
In order to use the present tense we first have to look at the verb we want to modify.
There are three different endings endings a verb can have.
AR
ER
IR
EX: Tomar, Jugar, Tocar,etc.
EX: Hacer, Tener, etc.
EX: IR, Venir, etc.
In order to use the present tense, you have to first drop the ending.
EX: Habl
-ar
"The underlined letters should be dropped."
Once you have dropped the ending you need to find out who is doing the action and if it is has an -ar, -er, or -ir ending.
Once you have figured that out you need to know the endings you add to the stem depending on the ending.
For example the
-Ar Verbs (verbs that have an -AR as an ending.)
o

áis

The chart above shows the different endings for if you, he or she is doing the action.

*Extra Tip: When conjugating any verb in Spanish, no matter what tense is, the chart will always be like this.
The same goes for the -er and -Ir except they have different endings.
-er verbs react the same as -AR except the endings are different.
The chart below shows the endings for different conjugation.
